Planted 3 types of cherry tomatoes....Sweet 100's,Husky Cherry and Tami orange grape. 2 types of Basil, more rosemary.Red and Green bell peppers. All from store. So have all my 20 containers,6 to go,finish tomorrow. All outdoor plants.
Not sure what a graden is but good for you mightyspuds. I'm not planning on planting cherry tomatoes this year. Am I going to live to regret it? I have some Cherokee purple seeds you can have if you want them.

Went as low as 3 degree's below freezing just 6 blocks from me.i covered the plants with 16 oz Styrofoam cups.My thermometer stayed at 34F.The tree's still have their blossoms all.Next week should all be above freezing, then just 2 more weeks and frost threat over.Im getting a great jump this year.
Salads, baked potatoes with sour cream and chive, and all kinds of stir fry dishes.Heck, they might even grow so that you can cut off a section thats a full new green onion, leaving the root to do it yet again?
You have to hold your anticipation correctly to enjoy them..
Im always saying about the garden, wait until NEXT year....I think this IS next year finally.the second year of the container plantings.... got in early and should be a bumper crop of tomatoes, the asparagus, the garlics doing their best...i will just leave them alone and let them mature into more plants.Even the fruit tree's loaded with blooms, but they have fire blight, they might have to go,bummer.real pissed off someone sold me tree's with fire blight, that was dirty.

I bought a live $2.99 Basil in the store's produce dept and divided it into 15 plants. My earlier Dill plants I divided up into about 15 more plants.I now have over 30 Basil and 30 Dill, pesto making happening this year?
I planted some outdoors in the containers, rest in the aquaponics system to compare which does best, though I did em last year in hoophouse so I know they do well there. Pics in a few days.
Could the blight have happened after the trees got to your place? Or maybe the seller didn't realize? Hate to think a person would intentionally do that to you.
You've come a long way with your gardening endeavors. It's been interesting watching it take off. And it seems you use all of what you grow. Does Mrs. Spuds help you?
Im pretty sure I imported it.Same with the slugs.I understand why producers are so scared to bring in outside plants now.
Yes,Mrs is going nuts with her bulbs.Last year end of season she got a bunch of tulips on close out sale, they are very nice.must get some pics. She is the yard person,Im almost all the edibles person, she did some of the garlics, and hers are the ones that finally took.

Lets start with bed one in hoophouse.Good supply of basil (2) types, dill, mint, rosemary, and (3) backup-up sweet 100 toms. We'll see about them....
Next is bed two which is the star this year.It has a forest of dill, several basil, and the great hugely successful onion plantings.Looks like it will regrow full sized green onins, oldest plants are entering week 4.Im still planting more.
Bed four. This has the transplants of basil and dill that had the smallest plants and questionable roots. We will see how they do

I did some gardening in hoophouse today. It REALLY grows spices fast,so I had some mint, turned 2 plants into 6,and did same with a couple more dills. With aquaponics if you separate plant and even get a teeny bit of root on a stalk it will take off.Very cool
In bed one I have over 50 plants, bed 2 over 40,and about 35 in bed 4. Bed 3 isnt being used. ================================= Gosh the tulips are so pretty. It looks like they were hand painted. ================================= AND they werent expensive, just got them in then bulb bin selection at ACE after season was over.Going to get Mrs a bazillion this year at seasons end,she is soooooo pleased by them too.We have 2 colors here, green trees and brown dirt,so any color is very welcome indeed.

Got 2 six packs of lettuce, cut tray into singles and stuck in beds. Those sage plants all came from one pack of fresh sage from the produce section at Stater for 2.49. They should make about 20 plants after worms get in and clean up the tangles of overgrown roots so I can separate them all.
Cut down 2 green onions.pic is in the Dill forest.Boy are they juicy when fresh.Lets see if the 2 stumps grow more.
Remember the bok choy cutting in the onions? Its now 3 bok choys.
Im starting a celery and 2 more bok choy roots and a few more onions
