Mind started today with our Christmas Eve Breakfast with son and soon to be DIL. We kind of fell into this, she has a large family, and with our work schedules Christmas Eve Breakfast just seemed to work well for us.
Tomorrow we will host an open house, serving figure food. We have a few friends that don't celebrate Christmas, and some that don't have family around, and some who aren't healthy enough for a big family thing. Since hubby and I aren't into all the hoopla of the holiday, so this works really well for us.
I will be making a cheesecake this year (we have cake every year, after all it is a birthday party) just something a little different from a regular cake.
Merry Christmas to you too bonnie as well as all of you! Sounds like you have a good plan for a not stress filled day tomorrow! I made 40 stuffed pasta shells for dinner tomorrow. We are going Italian for the day!
I haven't done stuffed shells in years - maybe next year that will be the menu - or something close to that since now I've learned to make pasta. 3 of my grandparents were boat people from Sicily, and Christmas was always Italian - not sure why I didn't keep that going.
Had a wonderful time yesterday, totally blessed. It was peaceful and relaxing. Sometimes I think I eat more when it's a figure food thing rather than a meal.
