I have some acorn squash and sore as my hands are I did not feel I could cut open. So set a couple on pan in the oven. I did jab a couple places with a knife but not really holes . I was afraid they would pop. Baked longer and did not time. Then let cool and set in fridge and next day I peeled one with fingers. Taste okay to me. Can't save seed but I can eat the squash. I scooped the seeds out and dumped. I head in microwave with butter and maple flavored syrup. I just heat a piece at a time fir a meal. Most all the peeling comds off real easy.
