These are the walls that will get the penny treatment, where the old yucky wallpaper was.Believe it or not they are white, above wainscoting is plaster knockdown, new wall will raise that about 6 inches higher.
After drywall repairs the sink wall will be the first, I think,so I can finish plumbing and get all things functional.

That wasnt fun. Cant do the pennies r/t waves in the walls, not going there. Had a huge hassle with pipes, finally got galvanized on em,no gator parts.Had me worried about the electrolysis between dissimilar metals.Head ache, took me a good break.
So about 1/23/14 went back at it.Surprisingly this time that dang hot water pipe went right together where I couldnt get to it before, slick as can be.
Made a template of wall, traced it to drywall, cut drywall.Screwed that on wall, took circular saw and cut out old drywall so patch fit right in.Nice.Took 2 days to mud in drywall joints for drying time, did behind toilet at same time.
Used Hyde wet and dry tape. You dip it in warm water, drip it dry about 15 seconds and apply over joint.Thats NICE stuff, makes a smooth hard joint cover over joints. It dried fast,so yesterday was able to mud over it,and we started sanding, finished that this AM.
Meantime, using the Pirate patch kit,Mrs was able to apply knockdown to one wall.Today we finish knockdown and tomorrow is paint, major cool.Thursday sink goes in,floors get caulked and trim goes on.
Doing best I can for sure.Really coming together, geeze remodel is SOOOOOOooooo much harder than building, undoing and repairing messes are challenging. But Im jazzed its getting done.Hey,got that greenhouse to get to so this needs finishing for sure.

To spackle the wall we use a metal patch template with a design cut out.Its an 8x8 inch square, you hold against wall and mash in putty with a putty knife, takes forever, then you have to address the edges after a section dries.
That said,I have a 2 inch by 3 foot strip left to finish today(Need corner edge to dry first) and spackle is done.Guess will let it dry until tomorrow and paint I hope.
Spent the day fixing rough spots, just brushed it off, then wet rag to remove last of sanded fine powder, tomorrow I want to at least paint bottom half of room, mrs wants to paint all at one time but hasnt worked in there for 2 days,Im not anxious to belay the remodeled section at all.
If I paint can seal floor edges and drop in vanity ASAP.
