Talk of getting rid the paper dollars and going to a metal coin. They quit making presidential dollars as they have stacks and stacks of them. They were selling them. Banks did not get them and not put in to circulation. If turn loose of them and use them in circulation what does that do the collectors that bought them?
I know the mint turned loose of a bunch of centennial quarters and getting few in chnage. I got my change that day and handed a quarter so son and said what it was and he looked at it and put in his pocket and grinned at me. My nephew had said the Dnevre mint had turned loose of some they had stock piled. Back did not get the park quaters. I only have a couple and couple island or territories.
They say the metal dollars save a lot of money over time as not wear out so fast. And coin operated machines would be good for that.
I bought some Indian girl dollars and Susan dollars. All 50 states. I would have the park and Pesident too if I could have.
