I put corn on the cob in to the freezer. Broke the ears in half as so large. 10 pieces so 10 meals. Then fried the zuc and put that is the freezer too. Put 2 slices to a bag and had 14 bags and that is 14 meals at least. I can take out one slice if I want. Large. Then put the little bags in to gallon zip. Same with the corn. Hope it comes out okay that way.
I trimmed and layed out the husk. First night I wt down flat and now just got them drying. I can use fresh as one has to soak the dry ones to use. Husks are pretty wide and you use a couple to wrap the tamale anyway. Few scraps I can use for tieing. I like tamales and the canned ones I can eat but they are not much. Left my recipe down home after finally finding it. But I have the mix for the corn meal part. I used meat, hambuger. Was not bad in price for a bag of mix, . I had always used corn meal. I want to have meals in the freeze. Corn I did not cook. Tamales I will then can heat and eat. Corn I do not think you cook on the cob and freeze. I just wanted a little as takes up the space. Few other meals things I want to make and put in freezer. I have some mixed sea food froze to make paella. Got the rice to do it. My TV plastic trays I saved are down home and need bring up. Will slide into a ga; zip and in fact two witll fit. They are from the small cheap dinners. Not cheap any more as high priced and the meal on them is smaller. I would like to do up some and put in the freezer to have ready to sticky in the microwave.
