Some times they have to get hold of more people to do things. They should have been ready you would think. Hope it all works out for you. At least so far you doing it. They are sure dragging it for you.
I will see if I can get son to take some picture. If he emails me I can foreward. If I have an email address. I will probably see him later today. He has been taking me to see the cows on Sunday.
I am peeling corn today to freeze. Odd stuff. Sure as heck got mixed with other corn down there. All yellow so eatable. Still got more to peel and bag. 29 this AM.
The grapes on the corner sure look like vines were frosted. Not too bad. The yellow is shedding real fast today. On the corner.
I will take some of the corn over and can leave a note for him. I want to finish this 16 patch quilt today. Still have two zucs to dry. Did some of them yesterday. That will help on something to eat this winter. I am not a big meat eater to start with Try to have some each day or preteine. I think I need up my proteine to stablize my sugar. Could be low sugar. I will see the doctor the 18th. I do not need the INR test now for a month Right in the middle where should be.
I got though the night okay with out problems. We went down to house yesterday and packed in morning and then went out to eat and then packed to put in the pickup in afternoon and clean up from the morning. . Rest of packing went in the storage container. He said I would need a cheater pipe put on the door levers to open them. It has a place for a padlock. I had a pipe off the oldl wash drain before he put in plastic. It was big enough and couple feet long. Heavy metal pipe.
I used clothes to pack my gallon jars I use for storage. Worked. Now got to make room for the jars in the pantry. I have to put in rows to get them in . Would rather have single row on shelf. I will do closet first and then work on the pantry. I unpacked stuff last night. Hung clothes back up and still have the pile of sweaters to go.
I walked to the dollar store and got candy for Xmas. Boxes to give. I plan to go on bus to big city the 20th. And debating if I should make up some goodies to hand out on the bus.
What would be good and not expensive? I do not have my candy making stuff here. Hard candy molds not here and but I have few cookie cutter and some chocolate molds but the stuff to work with is not. I could maybe finds a brand new brush in the water color or art bag I could use. I really do not have time to go fancy. I could just shape the foundant by hand and dip but I like the molds as all one size and neat. I need like 20 goodie bags to be sure enough to go around for sure. No, I do not have to do anything. Annalee never said I should not hand out stuff. I do not remember all their names yet. They know mine. My BIL did not believe I made that candy I sent them. He could do those prezelles great. But I put colored scenes on the candy like the boughten. With molds ease buy time taking. I would not do that. Maybe some drips. I have stuff to use. I am low on income now. Lost a $1000 a month income. Just on SS now. I knew coming. I have molds like for Chris mouse. And all kinds but not here yet.
Shipping and mailing add up. Stores have more over head. Use be we bought clothes from Wards/Sears and the postage was less then the markup at the stores. Sears back in the 20's had goceries even. Patterns got too high to buy. Get a basic ones and we reused. PJ's.night gowns. dresses. I have bought basic patterns for things and rather I will use it is wait and see. But they were not more than .25 . Some patterns are muilt sizes and pain to use but make a pattern off and not cut them up and tissue paper was cheap. I have always had the use of a machine. Mom had and after I married he had treadle machine then an electric but it plain one.
I know you are talking Xmas gifts. Stuff in store was always higher than the catalog. NOw it is internet. But you hae to have a computer to do it and they save catalog printing. I do not have a credit card to use. I have gne to checks but some places wait till your check clears frist before shipping. I had a dealer CA that did that and said right out they did. I would send money order. No checks back then. So many places now do ot take checks. Money orders got high, Stamps are high.
I have 6 trash bags of rags to get cut into mechanic rags. Got to ditch them some where and then get cut. Right now where they unloaded in to the living room.
Hearing aid in the repairs again as they did not fix it the first time. He could not make it work yesterday. It was a garunteed for a year so should be no charge but maybe shipping and postage here. Be a week to get it back it seems.

But you hae to have a computer to do it and they save catalog printing. I do not have a credit card to use ============================ If your ATM card has the visa logo on it you can use that.I use my credit card but if a place wont take that card,I only have one just for car rentals and internet purchases, you can use the ATM card with the visa logo on it. ============================== How sad about that school shooting. Some interesting things are the perps are white males, usually 18-25 years old.
I blame it on the video games, those stupid first person shooting games where you take a gun, kill, and it gives you power.I dont think as a society we need them,it isnt a need in any shape or form. You can make the freedom argument but I can see where they seem to be related to these cases.
These guys dress in military TYPE garb, all black or camo, usually with their faces covered. These games make killing an answer, makes killing so easy without any emotion or consequence attached, just POWER if you kill.
So take someone feeling alienated or powerless (yup,18-25 year old males for sure, its a tough time growing up) They are playing a game in real time,it has to be addressed. So for starters, lets stop treating killing as a GAME,it isnt.
Sure the guy may be mentally challenged in some manner so do we put out killing as entertainment to push them over the edge???
The media is ignoring the game playing and going overboard on mental illness,I think the focus should be on WHAT sets them off.
Such a horrible tragedy,those poor babies,just terrible!
Another thing, almost all these guys are on zoloft or benzodiazepines.....Listening to a psychiatrist saying these drugs give you a flat affect, take away your feelings, make you incapable of empathy. He says drugs should be an absolute LAST resort, not the first thing they do.But we dish that stuff out like candy!
Bet they dont address the drug issue either.Damn media and their agendas and propaganda,if people rely on that for info, and they do,nothing will ever get done.
Nope,it will be the guns have to go.Not like he wouldnt have done it with a machete,or gas,or bomb or car or who knows what?? It may have been more difficult, but these are also smart guys usually too.A murderer is a murderer, weapon of choice wont change that.
Heard also he tried to buy a gun 2 days prior to attack and was turned down.So he stole them, just like the mall guy.
Prediction,we will see a lot more of this, apparently copycat is a big deal too,'I can do more than the last guy' seems to be a common thread too.
They want to see if they can killmore than the other guy.
I think your right Spuds. If not a gun they would use something else. Bible times they used rocks. They stoned people to death. But they will get a gun someway. Steal an airplane and take out the twin towers.

I think Tenn has the answer.....Stand UP to the whackos, not give them a free fire zone! ===============================
Tennessee has emerged this week as a center of the "the answer is more guns in schools" sentiment following the Newtown, Conn. elementary school shooting.
A member of the Republican-controlled legislature plans during its upcoming session to introduce a bill that would allow the state to pay for secretly armed teachers in classrooms so, the sponsor told TPM, potential shooters don't know who has a gun and who doesn't.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam (R) has said the idea will be part of his discussions about how to prevent a shooting like the one in Newtown from happening in the Volunteer State.
As has been seen following other mass shootings, there's a strong segment of the gun rights lobby that says the answer to events like the one in Newtown is more guns in more places. But they've said the recent massacre shows how important it is to put guns into elementary schools, where even gun-friendly states like Tennessee don't currently allow them.
State Sen. Frank Niceley (R) told TPM on Tuesday he believes it's time for that to change. He plans to introduce legislation in the next session, which begins Jan. 8, that will require all schools to have an armed staff member of some kind. The current language of the bill -- which is in its early form -- would allow for either a so-called "resource officer" (essentially an armed police officer, the kind which most Tennessee high schools have already) or an armed member of the faculty or staff in every school in the state. The choice would allow schools that can't afford a resource officer to fulfill the requirement without having to pay for anything beyond the cost of the training and, presumably, the weapon. But Niceley said schools should use the wiggle room to train and keep on hand armed staff not in uniform.

I have a 2nd class broadcast license. I listen once in a while. Used to do commercial radio after i came home from 'over there'. Way out of the loop on that and I doubt I could key ten words in Morse within a minute any more. Funny you mention this, but I had been toying with the idea. Either that or start a low wattage FM station. Hmmm...might get myself in trouble there! You a ham type Spuds?

Nice stuff. I am using what most would laughingly call an antique receiver. An Allied tube type! Tubes I can do. I can't remember who made Allied's equipment anymore-I could try to pull the case off and look. Got it at a yard sale 20 years ago. Looked at some sites last night. I guess you don't even have to know Morse anymore? Strange. Times do change. I do know that antenna design and siting are key to any radio. I have a rigged wire array up top in the clear area and 450 feet of cable running back to here. After looking at your equipment I am feeling like an old dinosaur!
