The voted for NO increased income tax for Colorado and sales tax increase to go to schools. It was voted down real good.
We voted in some years back they had to ask to raise things. School use to just add it on. But they have been voting in increases for the schools.
And this county voted NO on the increase in property taxes for this county schools. Hopefully we get some tax relief in the lower values on property. Looks to me like people are feeling the economy. They say they will lay off more teachers and such.

I am not surprised to hear this. As times grow ever worse we are going to see a lack of enthusiasm for a wide range of taxes. I don't know how it is there, but out here the schools waste an incredible amount of money and turn out, for the most part, young slack jawed yokels. Most who try to attend a good college are immediately thrust in remedial programs to try to bring them up to par with the majority of students. Seems the educational process in this country has wandered off to some odd fairy land.

Our idiot voters voted in a now 100 BILLION dollar bullet train when we were 10-20 BILLION in the red.To go to some desert cities nobody is even interested in. But it feels oh so good to have what the The Japs and Chinese have, never mind we dont have the money, and its pointless, nobody would ride the dam thing, nor afford to ride it.
