Well I looked it up and medicare will raise $3.50 for 2012. That makes it $99.90 a month. Lot that have been paying more will drop to that. They had been projecting $12 a month. But they lower the deductible to $140. for doctor bills and but upped the hospital to $1156. You know what that says. They want people to go to doctors and not hospital.
The med ins I am looking at is $600 flat out to go to hospital. Some things they are higher set fee and some paid for. Sure higher per month than I been paying but I had to pay $250 at the hospital. That was $1750. They will push you out soon as a they can. Most will want to leave soon as they can. Anyway you go you are paying one way or the other. I do not plan to be sick. The providers booklet list who I go to. And they list where I am planning to move to and the drug store there.
So all in all it is not bad. 3.6 raise is SS and only $3.50 more for medicare. I pay medicare and the other insurance on top of it. It is the added ins that will add it up. You have to sign on for a year.
I have to sign up with Rocky Mountain. Daughter tells me that is what her husbard has for his medicare. He is on SSD. RM sent me the new book. Got the forms and lists of doctors and ones I go to listed and the other county they are listed and the hospital/clinic there.
DIL is going to start painting the house. One room a week. She has another house empty and it is a mess to clean up. Renters left it a mess. When she is done then the vinyl and carpet goes in. DIL does the rentals and son hold full time job and mechanic business. She does the storage rentals and all the book work/ billing and all. She quit her full time job some years back and just works their businesses.
So I think everything there is a go. Town has one grocery store, high. So I can get milk. Kind of supermarket but not chain. Other stuff if needed. 700 or 800 pop. Senior bus and noon meals, trip once a once so they said. LIbrary, rec center and hardware, lumber and parts that good stuff. But no where I could buy material and thread and needles. No thrift shop and or used books. That has to come from down here. I have plenty of material probably all I will ever need and can use.
