I got a new stove today. The old one still works, and will still be used, but this is one I've been wanting for a long while. She needs some work, and so I will not beable to use it until next spring/summer - it will be our winter project -but it was available, we could afford it, it has the warming ovens and the hot water heater elements that we wanted

Nice buy,Bonnie, Looks like you were at the right place and the right time. Those old stoves are pretty rare. I've heard of the water heating feature but never seen one. You have the new improved model.LOL.
I does need the cleaning, it needs a new grate, and some welding on a couple of places, the enamel is chipped in a couple of places (hoping to match the color) and it needs new fire clay (no biggie there). But all doable by us.
Fully restored ones here are going for the thousands, this was $150. I'm really looking forward to it.
I wish I could find a deal like that. NOW I'M JEALOUS!!!
Ditto. I used to cook on one all the time about 12 years ago. Then we sold the house. I wanted to take it with me, the people buying the house wanted it "as a conversation piece". It ended up staying with the house. I heat my great room with a QuadraFire woodburning stove and could cook on it if I wanted too.
