We have been keeping pretty busy working in the garden, trying to keep up with the fast growing weeds. Everything is growing well and hope in the next few weeks we will be having veggies to eat. So far the radishes, onions, spinach and lettuce and rhubarb. The potatoes all are flowering, and the tomatoes have little golf ball size tomatoes on them, also yellow squash have flowers. The red raspberries are loaded with berries (not ripe yet), I can't wait for them to be ready. Rich and I went last week end and picked strawberries (u-pick farm) froze some and also dried about a gallon of them. Rich eats oatmeal in the winter at work and I thought that he might like the dried strawberries in it. Will be picking more mulberries tonight if the rain holds off, going to try making jelly from them.
I just read this. Hope you made the mulberry jam. I have done over 20 pints this year. It was the first time I tried mulberry jam and IT IS GOOD !!!!!!! I have several trees all planted by the birds and they are loaded this year! In fact they are still pouring out berries. I am going to pick more today, if it doesn't rain.
