My son said gas went up 10 cents yesterday...was $3.79 when he went to work and $3.89 when he got off work. I don't know how people are going to make it, with the price of gas and groceries. The wages sure aren't going up but everything else is. It's scarry!

I want to make a trip or two this summer. I know gas is high and places be higher that here. I will figure less miles to the gallon at $5 a gallon to get a good cost estimate on what it will cost to go. I know where I hunt he gas is way higher than here. I fill my tank here and that gets me up and back as it it does to other son. Pulling the hills up out of this valley take more gas than coming back. I am about as low as you get in Colorado. And to get to the east side of the divide. Maybe the traffic will be less. Wonder what the bus ticket is? But I want to shop where ever I go. Take stuff with me. Could be last trips I can drive it. Just with in the state.
Guy in Texas drives sevice repair truck and his boss has raised the service call price by $5 so far. Beacuse of gas.
I have been sitting here wondering on the budget. I will have to cut down or add more more to the budget. If utilities go way higher.
I am heard predictions we can expect gas to be $5 by July 4th. So if I do take a trip I will have to up my figures for $5 to $6 to be sure I have enough money. I have been up toewn this week. Use to be here gas was always few cents higher than in the city here. But I have been seen higher in the city now.
I am pretty sure I bought aht cinnamon rll in Waldon come back from Laramie. Best I ever had. Some of my nephew's wife's family was living in Waldon and they have left. Nothing to do with gas but the couple split. He split and she is back in Denver. I would guess where my son is gas is that high if not more. I think it will be less drving for hunting. I got my cow elk license yesterday. That means two week ends to hunt as he works, my son. I have to save for my gas and I do the meals. He buys gas for the pickup for hunting. I got my antelope refund and I doubt I have enough points to get a deer license.
Annie you think this gas will cut done on hunting and hunters.? Although the high price of out of staters licenses they still come. They seem to have the money as stay at the motels, some do camp out. Still cheaper than going on trip ver seas of fancy vacation.

I got my cow elk license yesterday. WooHoo!! Congratz! I got my muzzleloading bull tag and my archery deer tag. My FIL DID NOT draw his cow elk tag, first time in 10 years. He did draw his deer tag. Neither of us have points for deer. I told him that if there were left over cow tags for his season I would get one and he could get a bull tag and we'll hunt together.

I don't think it will have much effect on this years operations but next year's is a different story. Most outfitters around here are booked one to two years in advance. I know my cousin from PA is driving out for the muzzleloading season and is staying with us. A cheap trip since he won't have the outfitter fee, motel room or meals to buy. We also have friends that come in every year from Minnesota. They drive and stay with us also.
My deceased DIL was cooking for a hunting outfitter. Back then like a $1000 a week each. Some people sure do have money. Of course I stay ay my son's. Son and I like to get out. Guess I should check and see if they did deer yet.
Annie, I got the deer license . Just been posted today. I had points but did not think enough. So I can go to bank and deposit that refund as only one.
I have black powder gun but I won in the Lions club raffle. I use a rifle. I can only shoot with a scope it seems. Bifocals. I sure hope we get something this year. They have a raffle here last of Sept. I took alot teasing over winning that gun. I had just came home from antelope hunting and had not changed and phone rang and said come get the gun. I went right down and got it. They think this is funny. They could not get me till I got home. She said they will have a fancy hunting knife this year. I do not know all they will have. I have tried to buy each year from the Lions when I could. Rocky came to where I worked to get me to buy. My ex-neighbor and mentally handicapped. I buy two books of tickets and sign them and still more to sign and not right. One book had 7 tickets and not 6. I gave him the extra $1 for it . I figured that was right and a woman knew about how it was done and she sad yes that would be right. 6 for $5 . That was ticket 13 for me and it won the gun. Rocky was honesty and turn the money in and stuff like that but could not figure it seems. Culd nto drive and rode a bike. His brother in law I guess was Lions and after his mother died he had to live with them. So he was sort of mascot in the Lions. He said they would not let him sell tickets at their booth. But they let him sell. He has passed on.
