3 Cups granulated sugar 2 heaping Tablespoons dark brown sugar 1 1/2 Cups (or one 12 oz. can) Evaporated milk 1/2 stick butter 3 Cups pecan halves 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
In heavy pot, place all ingredients except vanilla and stir. Cook on medium heat to firm soft ball stage. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Stir until mixture is VERY THICK (your arm will feel like it's gonna fall off). Drop by spoonfuls on freezer paper (shiny side). Makes about 2 dozen.
