Saturday had to make a run to my favorite fruit market, and there was boxes stacked in the store $2.00 a box, WELLLLLL I can't pass up a great buy, tried to be conservative as the nexr day was Easter, and I still had that 1/2 bushel of mixed oranges and tangerines to use up from a day or so before. Getting back to my great buy, I got 2- 10 lb boxes of fresh mushrooms, a 10 lb box of green seedless grapes, and I had to pull myself away from all the other goodies, green peppers, a whole box of fresh ginger, it was a sad moment but I had to walk away. Got busy and got the grapes ready and in the dehydrator, so that left the 20 lbs of mushrooms, they had to wait until today. So I have been canning mushrooms ( no room in the dehydrators) and run outside to check on the sap (maple syrup) that is cooking down. All this has lifted my spirits and has my hands itching to plant the garden. (Snow expected again for Tues) Well need to check the syrup.
