It's pretty cold here in Michigan, so thought I'd make a big pot of chili for dinner. Grand daughter came in from school and had a slice of toast with the little bit of strawberry jam that was left in the jar. Washed up all the dishes and had two quart jars from the tomatoes, one pint jar from the canned kidney beans, and a pint jar from the jam. It seems like everyday I am washing 2-3 canning jars. I've decided I better do a quick check of the fruit cellar to see how things are, I think that we are probably going to be fine until the summer when the garden produces and the canning starts. How is everyone doing? Anything extra you will be canning, have you run out of anything? We will probably double up on everything this year as the grocery store prices are getting higher and higher.
